Oh school 9/1/11

So, I started college 2 weeks ago. I loved the first few days. I really don't like it now. I'm upset at the fact that the soap here is foam soap. I can not stand foam soap. On top of that, you hardly know anyone and people think you are weird if You go up to them and try to "be friends" especially a complete stanger in class. Then there are those people you  do know from school. As they walk past them you don't know whether they will recognize you or what not. Then you start to give them that friendly look to just glance and say hi, and They completely ignore you like you don't even exist. People in this aspect annoy the heck out of me. How rude can you really be. I still give everyone a smile even if I wasn't huge friends with them or just know of them.

It doesn't matter where you are, school will always be the same. It sucks. It makes me Not want to go at all. Plus some of your professors don't even know what they are teaching. Sometimes they teach us all as if we are in kindergarten. No we are inThis class for a reason. Plus they need to teach us equally. Grrr, I Just felt like venting today.

Summer time and Ireland!!

Hello all!
It has been awhile since I have posted anything and i thought, why not today??

So much has happened since April! I graduated from my Surgical Technician class on May 24th then left 3 days later and went to IRELAND for study abroad! I had so much fun there going to class and visiting all the different sites! I went to Galway, Dublin, Clonmacnoise, Emo court, Blarney Castle (and kissed the Blarney stone!) Trim castle, and Loughcrew! The atmosphere there was amazing. The food was alright, kind of bland but they had the best meat and Ice Cream. The ice cream was called a "99" and had this flaky chocolate they would out into the side. Then the pub atmosphere was fantastic. I loved listening to local bands play and just locals from the town. I could go to just about any pub and someone would playing something. It was fantastic. I would definitely recommend going there just to visit and see the lovely greenery and enjoy the fantastic weather!

Since I've been home I have been going through withdrawals :'( I did start work again though when I got back to try to get my mind off everything. It was very difficult to get back on Arizona time after the 8 hour difference and the 13 hour flight. I am now going to continue my education at my local community college and I got involved and am on the involvement committee of student government. I have a 15 hour school work load and on top of that, the student government so I will be well busy.

I am just like any other person right now with my own problems, trying to figure out "Who I Am" and just curious about what the future holds for me, Rachel Faye...

Dork!

Went to clinicals today till noon. Then I went home, showered and went to tempemarketplace and got lunch with nick! Today was one of the best days I've had in about 2 weeks!

We went to San Felipes which was alright. Their chips and salsa were really good. Nick and I had a great time. He called me a dork, which I know I am. It's going to be hard not seeing him for 2 years! But he will be serving our lord and savior!

Well, after lunch, we walked around tempemarketplace. And he went with me to charolate russe to try on dresses! Fun fun. Anywho, he and I walked back to work where I worked with my boss!Which btw was so much. I was going to got to the rodeo dance but I got off  late and it ended. So nick and ammon, met me at ammoms  house and we chit chatted which was fun.

Nick and I left ammons and went home. Today was an amazing day!  Well its late and the rodeo starts at 8 am goodnight!

Just An Ordinary Day, Tryin' To Get By

Today I woke up at 4:30 am. Crazy! Nothing too special happened at clinicals other then, I got to scrub in on cases! Yay! I got to work with a really nice doctor as well and I get to work with him tomorrow!

After work I went to Nicks house for about a half an hour before having to go to class, which btw, was super boring today . After class sister Hansen called me and talked to my teacher about my religion. Which that was pretty awesome. Then she left a scripture with me (D & C 100: 15).

I then went to my grandparents house and talked with them, then went home and cleaned my braces. Now it's bed time. 4:30 am again and work tomorrow. Good thinh I got new shoes. I'm on my feet all day long! Well, goodnight!

New Shoes!

Man, I have been looking for shoes for clinicals for a long time. I finally just found a pair I liked, and if I don't like them then I can return them, no ?'s asked.

I had clinicals and I got to scrub in and pretty much do the scrub myself! I did alright.

After clinicals I got a call from my best friend, Nick! He called and asked for a ride since his front tire went flat. I went straight over and came to his rescue, dunn da da dun! We went to burrito express right after which was so nice because I missed him a lot. I finally had to go to class though and dropped him off at home.
I went to school which went pretty well. I still have my workbook due tomorrow that I know isn't going to get done :(

After, class got out, I went to road runner shoes in tempe. I got myself my new shoes and then headed home. And here I am, waiting to go to bed.

Free Pancake Day!!!

So, this morning I went with my friends, Jordan, Nick, Bethany, and three of her friends, to IHOP and we had free short stacks! They were very yummy! I got a side of hash browns. (I Love Hash browns!) From there I went to work which went very well and it was a lot of fun to be there! After my long day at work, I went to class and worked on homework and got most of it done. Yay me!

I didn't eat lunch today so I decided after class I would have a big dinner! I posted on my facebook page and asked if anyone wanted to get food after class and no one answered. So, finally I got a reply and went to Firehouse Subs and then to Golden Spoon and had a good time. I was glad to actually do something on the only day I have off this week.

So Saturday I am super excited for. It is when we have our annual Lehi-Days Rodeo! I'm so stoked to dress goats and chase greased pigs and have an amazing bbq lunch!

Well, tomorrow I've got clinicals again. I'm doing a couple of umbilical hernias and a TAH-BSO! yay. No, C-sections though, I really enjoy those. It's such and emotional case. Think about it, you are helping bring this new life into this difficult world.

Well, it's getting late and I've got to be up early :( Good Night everyone, until tomorrow!

Crazy long day!

So, this weekend I got pulled over because apparently my insurance was invalid. But what had happened was...I had another car last year that was the same make and model as this one. In september I got hit by a car and my car got totaled. (I know, sad day) well, the cop couldn't verify my insurance because my insurance company mixed the vin numbers up and just fixed them about a week or so ago. So, the MVD, hadn't gotten the clearance for my car so, I got a ticket and now, tomorrow we are going to try to fight it. Also, on the way to clinicals, a rock flew up and hit my windshield! I have over a 2nd foot crack in my windshield now.

Enough with my car now. I had a long day at clinicals. I saw another C-section! Oh, new life! I love it. Every life is just so special. Oh man, I did have a case that was longer then 3 hours and it hurt my back and knees. Just think 125 cases and I'm done with clinicals! Yay!

Man I had a crazy nightmare last night about this abandoned house in the woods that this old lady lived in. Her shadow would move when she wasn't moving and she would kill and torture anyone who went in her library. It was such a horrible dream! I woke up in the middle of my 4 hour sleep for it. Not cool!

So, tomorrow, I am going with a few friends before work to get free pancakes at ihop for breakfast! I'm stoked!

Officially Day 1

Today has been an awesome day. Let me start off by saying i tried adding a post from my phone and I was too technologically challenged, so I gave up. It is now 3 days later and I am just now starting this blog up for sure.

By the way, my name is Rachel.

I'm going to start this blog the way I wanted to start it the other day, here it goes...

"I got this sudden urge this morning when I woke up, after having an insane dream, to create a blog and write about my life and dreams. Hopefully, inspiring others and just to get my voice out in this large world.
I am currently going to school to be a surgical technologist. I am already a certified nursing assistant and haven't done anything with it :(
My biggest dream is to travel the world. I'm currently trying to go study in Ireland for a month this summer :) I also love to sing and half my heart is filled with music! the awesome part about going to Ireland is that I would be taking some classes on music and going to pubs in Ireland and singing (2 of my favorite things).


Now back to what I was saying about today being awesome! It really was! I got to spend today with my bestest friend in the whole wide world Nicholas, along with our friend Ammon! We went to church and it was fantastic! Such a spiritual day for me!

Anywho, I must be getting back to my main reason for being on the computer, homework, bleh. I can't stand that I have to do homework for soething I already understand.
